 Remote-Anything (490 KB)

RA Manual (800 KB)

The Manual explains all the features of Remote-Anything, and details how to install / uninstall, update and use Masters and Slaves to control and use remote PCs via TCP/IP.

 - Remote-Control
(use a distant PC as if you were there)
 - File-Transfer
(drag & drop files PC to PC, rename or delete files, etc.)
 - SOS Calls
(Slave users can send SOS Calls to request assistance from Masters)
 - Text-Chat
(talk with other users, in private or conference mode)
 - Power Management
(log off, reboot, shutdown or wake-up remote PCs)
 - Password Recovery
(cached passwords of remote PCs: dial-up connections, screen saver...)
Use RA with an Internet connection (Dial Up, Cable, ADSL, etc.) or a modem-to-modem connection, or a simple parallel or serial cable.

The Slave integrated Gateway allows Master users to reach Slave PCs using private IP addresses on a remote LAN.

   Router - Firewall - Proxy

To go through routers, firewalls or proxy servers you will either have to use the DS (see below) or to open ports and use NAT (see the manual).

 Uninstall Slave (17 KB)
Slave.exe is a Windows Service and as such cannot be removed from the Applications install / uninstall list. Unzip the uninstall_Slave.zip archive, run uninstall_Slave.exe and reboot the PC.

The DS features Secure Zero-Configuration Router/Firewall Traversal, allowing any of the PCs of the picture below to access any other PC without opening port numbers or using NAT. Zero-configuration: just a one-click installation. How could this be easier?

The DS allows Masters and Slaves NOT to be listening on port numbers. This means that Masters and Slaves cannot be detected or attacked since they no longer accept connections.

Installing a corporate DS will make it possible for every employee to access his/her office or home PC without compromising the security of the corporate network. By using only outgoing connections the DS is the only solution to warrant that your PCs will not be a target for pirates.

Thanks to the 80KB RA footprint, Help-Desk Centers are now able to provide on-demand remote assistance even if the remote PCs are located on a LAN behind a router and protected by a firewall. That's simply a revolution in the remote-control field.

Your company maintains 50 LANs distributed in 4 countries and you have to deploy remote-control to cut the costs involved in the maintenance of your 10,000 PCs. Hell, that’s around 80 routers and firewalls from various vendors to configure and you have to send skilled technicians to do the job. It will take months, it will hit your budget hard, there will be errors, new security issues and downtimes, and any future modification -like adding a single PC on a LAN- will force you to send people to fix the boxes again, and again.

Shouldn't it be a better way to do this?

The DS makes this nightmare a relic of the past -and no other solution on the market provides this feature: Secure Zero-Configuration Firewall Traversal.

If your ISP is maintaining a managed Router/Firewall for you then using the DS is your only
   chance
to reach the PCs on your LAN
(because you can't access the configuration of this
device to use NAT or to open ports)
.

The Manual explains all the features of the Directory Server, and shows how to install and use the DS, deploy and administrate Masters and Slaves and how to query the real-time DS database from Masters to find a Slave PC or a User on a WAN or a LAN.

 - Router / Firewall Traversal  (no configuration is required to go through any router or firewall)
 - Network Management        (Administration, Application Deployment, Maintenance, etc.)
 - Network Security                (Audits, Alerts, Monitoring, PC Usage History, Statistics, etc.)
 - Directory Server                 (Centralized credentials, Vo IP & Voice answering Machine, etc.)
 - Help Desk                        (Chat, Remote-Control, Client & Problem Tracking, SOS Ticket, etc.)
 - Real-time Inventories        (Hardware and Software, on all Master and Slave PCs)
 - Power Saving options         (Time-out to power down the screen of distributed Slave PCs)
 - LAN / WAN Browser            (Search Persons, Files or Plain Text over distributed PCs)
 - Power Management           (Wake Up, Reboot or Power Down a group of PCs)
 - Fail-Safe Architecture         (Redundancy, Load Balancing, Load Monitoring, etc.)

Find any PC/user by its/his name wherever it/he is in the world! The DS allows you to locate, monitor and keep record of the usage of millions of PCs on a WAN. Centralize credentials, SOS Calls and logs! You can connect to any Slave PC if you know the Name of its User or its DNS Name. You no longer need the IP address! The DS also automatically updates of all your Masters and Slaves without even rebooting them!
